Season 7: Episode 17 No Pressure
Episode where he talks about the first time he tells the mother “I love you”, and how the time before that, he had said it to Robin whom had just broken up with Kevin. He told her I love you and then she left for Russia. Barney ends up in Lily & Marshall’s bed! And Barney find out about their life term bets & their sex tape. Ted also realizes that Robin is in love with Barney. Yet Barney is upset since he had broken up with Nora for her, but Robin didn’t do so (yet) with Kevin. Ted asks Robin upon her return if she loves him and says no. Marshall asks Robin to move out at the end of the episode.
This episode is quite intense because Ted finds himself not completely over Robin and he feels that she’s the one. He tells her I love you, and she says she doesn’t. Which really got to me. I cried lol. Ted also realizes that she loves Barney and that’s why they won’t work out.
